Project Manager

About PLC Group

PLC Group is a global provider of critical facilities and infrastructure management solutions. We empower Tier 1 telecom operators, data centers, and utilities with Actionable Intelligence (AxIn). Our mission is to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for our clients through advanced remote monitoring, cooling solutions, and AI-driven predictive maintenance. At PLC Group, we don’t just provide hardware; we provide the connectivity and insights that keep the world’s most critical networks running.

The Role

We are seeking a results-driven Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex infrastructure projects across Canada. You will be the primary bridge between our technical engineering teams, software developers, and our high-profile clients. You will manage the full project lifecycle—from initial site assessment and turnkey implementation to software integration and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead the implementation of turnkey solutions, including hardware (Remote Monitoring & Control) and software (AxIn Platform) deployments for telecom and data center clients.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring project milestones align with their business goals and operational needs.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Software Development teams to ensure technical specifications are met and resource allocation is optimized.
  • Budget & Risk Oversight: Manage project P&L, track CAPEX/OPEX savings for clients, and proactively identify risks related to supply chain or site-specific challenges.
  • Site & Quality Control: Oversee site audits and commissioning, ensuring all installations (e.g., HVAC cooling, energy meters, sensors) meet PLC Group’s rigorous quality and safety standards.
  • Actionable Reporting: Utilize project management tools and the AxIn platform to provide real-time status updates and data-driven performance reports to senior leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

    • Experience: 5+ years of Project Management experience, specifically within Telecom, Data Centers, or Critical Infrastructure.
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is highly preferred.
    • Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of Industrial IoT (IIoT), remote monitoring systems (RMS), and cooling/energy management systems. Familiarity with protocols like SNMP, Modbus, or MQTT is an asset.
    • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills; ability to translate complex technical data into “actionable intelligence” for non-technical stakeholders.
    • Mobility: Valid Canadian driver’s license and the ability to travel to client sites across Canada as required.

Why Join PLC Group?

    • Innovation-First Culture: Work at the forefront of AI and Machine Learning in the infrastructure space.
    • Global Impact: Influence the efficiency and sustainability of some of the largest telecom networks in North America and beyond.
    • Growth Potential: Join a rapidly growing Canadian company with a global footprint and leadership opportunities.
    • Comprehensive Benefits: Competitive salary, performance-based bonuses, and a flexible hybrid work environment.
