Omar Uppal

As the Director of Quality, Reliability, and Document Control at PLC, Omar Uppal leads a dynamic team of software/hardware QA engineers and technical writers. Since joining in 2023, he has focused on elevating product quality and delivering customer and company documentation.

Omar’s career is built on a strong foundation from a 12-year tenure at Ericsson, where he excelled in Project Management and as a Solution Architect. He later sharpened his technical expertise by earning a Master’s in Computer Science, specializing in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. As a data-driven leader, he has a proven track record of launching successful AI/ML-powered products in competitive international markets, including North America and Australia.

Omar is a PMP-certified professional and also has a Masters degree in Project Management. He has completed various certifications around Product Strategy and Development and practices them frequently. Omar brings a versatile perspective from his experience in both major corporations and agile startups.
