Industrial IoT Gateways

PLC Group’s Industrial IoT Gateways are essential for establishing connected infrastructure in telecom, data centers, and industrial automation environments. Built for performance, reliability, and scalability, our gateways unify site equipment, networks, and cloud systems, transforming disconnected assets into an intelligent, data-driven ecosystem.

Our solutions go beyond simple connectivity. They enable real-time monitoring, network security,  protocol translation, and seamless integration with third-party BMS, SCADA, and NMS/EMS platforms, ensuring our customers maintain complete visibility and control over mission-critical systems.

What are PLC Group’s IoT Gateways?

PLC Group’s Industrial IoT Gateways serve as intelligent nodes within the IoT ecosystem, aggregating, analyzing, and transmitting data between machines and digital platforms.

Acting as an edge intelligence layer, they ensure that every connected element contributes to smarter, faster, and more reliable operations.

PLC Group offers a family of interconnected Industrial IoT Gateways, each designed for a specific role in the operational hierarchy.

Maple Edge-II:

It is an Industrial IoT Gateway with edge processing capabilities. It is  engineered for monitoring of various elements, such as DC plants, emergency power systems ATS, Generator, UPS, Batteries BMS, HVAC’s etc…. It performs local data acquisition It  supports RS-485, CAN, and 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet interface for seamless integration across diverse systems. The device processes data at the edge, reducing network dependency and ensuring uninterrupted performance in harsh environments. For more details, follow the Maple Edge-II datasheet.

It combines high-speed processing, dual SIM network redundancy, and secure cloud synchronization for real-time energy and environmental management. Supporting protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, UDP, LoRaWAN and MQTT, it enables seamless communication between on-site equipment and remote monitoring platforms. Designed for scalability and resilience, Maple Edge-III ensures operational intelligence even in isolated or bandwidth-limited locations. For more details, follow the Maple Edge-III datasheet.

Key Features of Our Industrial IoT Gateways:

  • Multi-protocol communication: Supports Modbus RTU/TCP, UDP, LoRaWAN, SNMP, MQTT, and BACnet/IP, enabling smooth integration across legacy and IP-based networks.
  • Edge intelligence: Performs local data processing, storage, filtering, and decision-making to reduce bandwidth use and ensure faster response times.
  • Secure connectivity: Includes TLS encryption, VPN tunneling, and role-based authentication to protect critical operational data.
  • Environmental durability: Designed for continuous operation in extreme temperature, humidity, and vibration conditions typical of telecom and industrial applications.
  • Modular scalability: Expandable to support new sensors, I/Os, controllers and connected assets without requiring major reconfiguration.
  • Cloud and on-premise compatibility: Connects securely to PLC Group’s Actionable Intelligence (AxIn)  Platform, as well as third-party BMS, SCADA, and NMS systems.
  • Real-time monitoring: Offers integrated dashboards, event triggers, and predictive analytics for improved situational awareness and maintenance planning.
  • Vendor-neutral integration: Works with devices from multiple manufacturers, allowing customers to modernize without replacing existing infrastructure.

How does the PLC Group IoT Gateways Work?

  • Data collection and normalization: Acquires input from various sensors (like fuel sensors, temperature sensors etc..), and site infrastructure assets (like Generators, Rectifiers, DC Power Plants, HVACs etc) and energy meters across multiple protocols, standardizing it for efficient transfer. Data can be read through different protocols like Modbus, SNMP, CAN and other industry standard protocols.
  • Local edge analytics: Analyzes and pre-processes data at the edge for faster response and reduced cloud dependency.
  • Secure data transmission: Encrypts information and transfers it through VPN and TLS networks to protect system integrity.
  • Centralized visualization and control: Displays processed data on the PLC Group cloud Platforms, like AxIn, for real-time dashboards, alarms, and performance insights.

What Makes a PLC Group Different?

  • Proven global expertise: 10,000+ deployments across telecom towers, data centres, and industrial sites.
  • Tier 1 partnerships: Trusted by global tier 1 telecom operators for mission-critical connectivity. We want to be the partner and not a typical equipment supplier. We work with you towards a common goal.
  • End-to-end ecosystem: We provide all kinds of services and solutions to support the end to end ecosystem. Our product offering includes from simplest of the sensors to gateways, HVACs to the complex solutions like “Cooling Monitoring and Solutions”. We also offer various services like turnkey rollout (installation and commissioning), 24/7 operating technical assistance center solutions and like HVAC as a cooling , energy management solutions and various other solutions.
  • Integration Library: We have a growing library of configurations that supports multiple OEMs. We have already integrated with many vendors of rectifiers, batteries, generators, HVACs and many more. Considering each integration as a block of a lego set and by joining blocks we can meet different customer requirements.
